Mich. FD hits $900K in ambulance revenue, eyes $1M by 2026

With earnings nearly triple initial projections, Flint plans to reinvest ambulance revenue into a new public safety training facility and expand its EMS fleet

FLINT, Mich. 鈥 The Flint Fire Department has reached a major milestone, collecting over $900,000 in ambulance revenue and projecting to surpass $1 million by January 2026.

The department鈥檚 ambulance service has proven highly successful, generating nearly three times the projected revenue while also making a meaningful impact on the community, according to a city .

The projected revenue, nearly triple the original estimate of $350,000 outlined in the initial plan, will be reinvested into the city. Plans include developing a public safety training facility on the city鈥檚 north side, reported.

鈥淲e are working now on a full training facility inside the city of Flint,鈥 Fire Chief Theron Wiggins said.

Wiggins said additional funds will also be put towards adding a third ambulance to the fleet.
