Antoni Simmons, 44, performed an initial assessment on the patient after arriving on scene before allegedly stealing $220 in cash from her purse, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

The woman became aware of the missing money after she was transported to the hospital.
An investigation into the incident produced surveillance video that officials say shows Simmons rifling through the patient’s purse and taking the money.
Simmons was arrested and suspended without pay. He is scheduled for a court appearance in September.
