SALT LAKE CITY 鈥� The National Emergency Medical Services Information System Technical Assistance Center (NEMSIS TAC) has announced the release of the 2024 Public-Release Research Dataset, now the largest publicly available dataset of emergency medical service activations in the United States.
Researchers and others interested in accessing the dataset can request a copy by filling out a form at . Along with the dataset, users will receive access to the 2024 NEMSIS Data User Manual, Data Dictionary, Extended Data Definitions, and Sample SAS code.

The 2024 Public-Release Research Dataset is a subset of the National EMS Database, which compiles EMS data from across U.S. states and territories. Maintained by NEMSIS, the database follows national standards for collecting patient care information resulting from 911 medical calls. The dataset includes 60,298,684 EMS activations reported by 14,756 EMS agencies across 54 states and territories.
